Golden Globes 2024, le candidature: “Io capitano” di Matteo Garrone in lizza

Al via la stagione dei grandi premi cinematografici e televisivi: sono state difatti annunciate le candidature dei Golden Globes 2024. Tra i titoli rientrati nelle prestigiose cinquine figura anche Io capitano di Matteo Garrone, designato per rappresentare l’Italia ai Premi Oscar. Di seguito, tutte le candidature.

La awards season è ufficialmente iniziata. Cedric the Entertainer e Wilmer Valderrama hanno difatti annunciato alcune ore fa le candidature dei prossimi Golden Globes 2024. La cerimonia di premiazione si terrà il prossimo 7 gennaio 2024 e sarà trasmessa in diretta sulla CBS e in streaming su Paramount+. La 81^ edizione della kermesse assisterà all’introduzione di due nuove categorie, ovvero il premio per il Miglior Blockbuster, sul fronte cinematografico, e la Miglior Stand-Up Comedian, sul fronte televisivo.

Tra le cinquine, il cui verdetto sarà svelato il prossimo 7 gennaio, ha trovato spazio anche il nostrano Io capitano di Matteo Garrone, come Miglior Film in lingua non inglese. Salgono dunque le quotazioni per un eventuale candidatura ai Premi Oscar 2024, di cui verrà annunciata la short-list – la prima scrematura di 15 titoli – il prossimo 21 dicembre. Per le cinquine definitive occorrerà aspettare direttamente il 24 gennaio 2024, in cui saranno comunicate le nomination ufficiali degli Academy Awards. A guidare le nomination cinematografiche è il film evento dell’anno, Barbie di Greta Gerwig, a quota 9 candidature. Dopo il kolossal incentrato sulla bambola Mattel seguono Oppenheimer di Christopher Nolan, con 9 candidature e Killers of the Flower Moon di Martin Scorsese e Povere creature! (Poor Things) di Yorgos Lanthimos, entrambi con 7. Sul fronte seriale, è Succession a guidare le nomination, insieme a The Bear, Only Murders in the Building e The Last of Us.
