Oscar 2024 shortlist: c’è anche Matteo Garrone con “Io capitano”
L'ultima fatica cinematografica del regista nostrano riesce a superare la prima scrematura verso gli Academy Awards
Sono state recentemente rivelate le shortlist dei prossimi Premi Oscar 2024, tra cui quelle per il Miglior Film Internazionale. Nella prima scrematura di 15 titoli è riuscito a rientrare anche il nostrano Io capitano di Matteo Garrone, che rappresenterà l’Italia nella 96^ edizione degli Academy Awards.
Prosegue la corsa di Io capitano verso i Premi Oscar 2024. Presentato in concorso alla 80^ Mostra del Cinema di Venezia, dove ha ricevuto, tra gli altri, il Leone d’Argento per la Miglior Regia, il progetto ha ottenuto anche la candidatura come Miglior Film in lingua non inglese agli 81^ Golden Globes. E ora, la possibilità che entri in lizza ai 96^ Academy Awards si fa sempre più concreta.
Di recente, infatti, sono state rese note le shortlist di dieci categorie dei Premi Oscar 2024, ovvero una prima scrematura di 15 titoli, dai quali saranno estratte le cinquine definitive. Tra queste, l’Academy ha annunciato anche la shortlist per il Miglior Film Internazionale, in cui è riuscito a rientrare Io capitano di Matteo Garrone. Il lungometraggio che rappresenterà l’Italia è ufficialmente uno dei titoli nominabili per l’ambita statuetta d’oro.
Un primo passo verso il prestigioso riconoscimento, sebbene la strada sia ancora lunga. Per scoprire se rientrerà tra le cinquine, infatti, occorrerà attendere fino al prossimo 23 gennaio 2024, quando saranno rese note le candidature.
Oscar 2024, Io capitano tra 15 titoli candidabili alla statuetta: gli altri film in lizza
Erano inizialmente 88 i titoli presentati per concorrere nella categoria Miglior Film Internazionale ai Premi Oscar 2024. Tra questi, l’Academy è arrivata a una prima scrematura di 15 titoli fra cui è riuscito a rientrare anche Io capitano di Matteo Garrone. Il lungometraggio nostrano, però, avrà a che fare con una “spietata” concorrenza: di seguito, infatti, ecco gli altri titoli rientrati nella shortlist:
